These Terms & Conditions apply to all quotations, estimates, and work carried out by Joseph Home Construction Ltd (“the Installer”, “we”, “us”) for the customer (“you”). By accepting a quote or confirming a booking, you agree to the terms below.

1. Quotations

• All quotations are valid for 30 days from the date issued, unless otherwise stated.
• Quotations are based on the specification and materials agreed at the time of quoting, and on the site conditions as they appeared during survey.

2. Materials & Product Changes

• Where a quote includes materials, fixtures, or fittings specified by us (e.g. standard-range tiles, sanitary ware, or worktops), the quoted price is based on those specific products.
• If you choose to upgrade or substitute any material or product for a different brand, range, or specification, any difference in cost – including the item cost and any additional labour required to fit it – will be charged to you in addition to the original quote.
• Any changes to specified materials must be agreed in writing (including by email or text) before the item is ordered or installed.
• Delays caused by customer-sourced materials arriving late, damaged, or incorrect are not the responsibility of the Installer, and may affect the project timescale.

3. Removal & Reinstatement of Existing Furniture/Fixtures

• Where existing bathroom or kitchen furniture, units, or fixtures need to be removed to carry out the works (e.g. for access, plumbing, or tiling) and reinstated afterwards, we will take reasonable care when doing so.
• However, we cannot guarantee that existing furniture, fittings, or fixtures can be successfully reinstated without damage or malfunction. This is due to factors outside our control, including but not limited to the age and condition of brackets, fixings, adhesives, seals, and materials, which may fail or become brittle during removal regardless of care taken.
• If existing items cannot be safely or successfully reinstated, we will inform you as soon as reasonably possible and discuss options, which may include repair, replacement, or an adjusted approach.
• Any additional cost for replacement parts or new fixings will be agreed with you before proceeding, where possible.
• This clause does not affect your statutory rights, and does not limit our liability for damage caused by our negligence.

4. Variations & Additional Work

• Any changes to the agreed scope of work requested by you after the quote has been accepted may incur additional charges, which will be confirmed before the work is carried out.
• If, once work has started, unforeseen issues are discovered (e.g. hidden damp, structural issues, outdated wiring or plumbing not visible at the time of quoting), we will notify you promptly with details of any impact on cost and timescale before proceeding with any additional work.

5. Access & Site Conditions

• You agree to provide reasonable access to the work area, along with access to water and electricity where required, for the duration of the project.
• The work area should be cleared of personal belongings before work begins, unless otherwise agreed.
• We will take reasonable care to protect flooring, furniture, and other areas of your property, but cannot be held responsible for pre-existing wear, damage, or defects not caused by us.

6. Payment Terms

• Payment is due on completion of the works, before or on the date of the final invoice, unless otherwise agreed in writing.
• Late payment may incur interest in line with the Late Payment of Commercial Debts (Interest) Act 1998, where applicable.

7. Timescales

• Estimated timescales are provided in good faith based on the agreed scope of work.
• Timescales may be affected by factors outside our control, including material availability, access issues, or the discovery of unforeseen work (see section 4).
• We will keep you informed of any changes to the expected completion date as soon as reasonably possible.

8. Guarantee

• Our workmanship is guaranteed for a period of 2 years from the date of completion, covering defects arising from faulty installation.
• This guarantee does not cover fair wear and tear, damage caused by misuse, or faults in materials/products supplied by the manufacturer (which remain subject to the manufacturer’s own warranty).

9. Cancellations

Where work has already started or materials have been ordered specifically for your project, cancellation may result in a charge to cover costs already incurred.

10. Liability

• We carry public liability insurance for the duration of the works. Details are available on request.
• Nothing in these terms limits or excludes our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, or for fraud.

11. Complaints

If you are unhappy with any aspect of the work, please contact us as soon as possible so we can address it. We aim to respond to all queries within 5 working days.
